DIGITAL OCCLUSAL ANALYSIS AND ORAL HEALTH-RELATED QUALITY OF LIFE OF PATIENTS WITH 3D PRINTED COMPLETE DENTURES VERSUS CONVENTIONAL DENTURES

Background: 3D printed complete dentures fabrication with computer-aided designing and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) techniques is becoming popular nowadays. However, studies that analyzed the occlusal forces distribution using recent digital methods as T-scan III further evaluated effect on patient`s life quality were lacking. Objectives: Evaluation of III, evaluation oral health-related (OHRQoL) Oral Health Impact Profile for Edentulous Patients (OHIP-EDEN) questionnaire comparing it conventional denture techniques. Methods: Twenty completely edentulous patients selected divided randomly into two equal groups according to technique group I (patients who received dentures), II dentures). For all patients, force analysis (percentage applied both sides) was performed T-Scan (digital system). Also, OHRQoL assessed (OHIP-EDENT) questionnaire. Results: In analysis, comparison between right left sides regarding revealed a significant difference in (conventional denture), while (3D an insignificant difference. Regarding, OHIP-EDENT denture) higher scores than correlation & strong negative correlation. Conclusions: The fabricated CAD/CAM technology proved be more superior over terms (OHIP-EDENT). are required decide exact superiority one other after long-term follow-up periods.
